NCAA FACES TAX CHALLENGE

In the middle of it’s annual March Madness Basketball Tournament, the NCAA is facing financial controversy surrounding its highly debated tax-exempt filing status. Expected to earn over a billon dollars of income this month, the NCAA claims to operate as an “amateur sports organization”. On 8-Mar-19, a 104-page document was filed in the US-Federal Court, stating that the Association should have its status removed.
