Mark Giordano, Calgary Flames
This month’s player spotlight is on Calgary Flames’ defensemen, Mark Giordano. Giordano, the undrafted captain of the Flames’, signed in Calgary as a free agent in 2004. Seventeen seasons later, Mark has appeared in over 830 NHL games and amassed over 450 regular season points. Most recently, the “fresh and young” defensemen was awarded the James Norris Memorial Trophy, awarded to the NHL’s best defensemen.
