Tyler Tucker, St. Louis Blues
In continuing with the theme of last month’s NHL Entry-Draft, this month’s player spotlight is on 2018, seventh round selection, Tyler Tucker. It was not until the 200th overall pick by the St. Louis Blues that Tyler was finally selected. Following a successful OHL career with the Barrie Colts and Flint Firebirds, Tyler was offered an NHL contract by the Blues on 02-Mar-20. Over his first three professional seasons, Tyler received praise for an outstanding attitude and a tireless enthusiasm for developing his game. As a result, Tyler was on the NHL roster for nearly one-third of last season, and most recently agreed to terms on a two-year, one-way contract. The Thunder Bay native’s accomplishments serve as reminder that the effort and performance after the draft is more important than the round in which you were chosen.
