Philip Broberg, Edmonton Oilers

This month’s player spotlight is on Örebro, Sweden native, Philip Broberg. At age 17, Philip made his professional hockey debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan with AIK. Just months later, he was drafted 8th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Since the draft, Philip has split time between the NHL and AHL, continuing to hone his skills to become an everyday NHLer. Following a mid-season re-assignment to the AHL, Philip returned to Edmonton shortly after their lengthy 2024 playoff run began.
