James van Riemsdyk, Philadelphia Flyers

This month’s player spotlight is on Philadelphia Flyers’ forward, James van Riemsdyk. In 2007, James was selected second overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in that summer’s NHL Entry Draft. In 2018, James returned for a second shift in Philadelphia following six productive seasons in Toronto. As a member of the NHLPA return to play committee, in the video below, James speaks about the NHL’s plan to resume play, his involvement in the negotiations and becoming a first-time dad last month.
