Mitch Marner, Toronto Maple Leafs
This month’s player spotlight is on Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward, Mitch Marner. The Thornhill native was selected fourth overall in the 2015 NHL draft by his hometown Maple Leafs. Over the last three seasons, Mitch has amassed over 220 regular season points, leading his team in scoring in the last two seasons. Most recently, Mitch and the Maple Leafs’ agreed to a new six-year contract, making him the highest paid player in the NHL this season. In addition to his on-ice accomplishments, Mitch has been one of the most charitable athletes in the city of Toronto.
