Tyler Toffoli, Calgary Flames

This month’s player spotlight is on Scarborough, Ontario native Tyler Toffoli. In 2010, the Ottawa 67s sniper was selected in the second round by the Los Angeles Kings. Tyler made the jump to the NHL just two seasons later before playing a large part in the King’s 2014, Stanley Cup Championship. Tyler has since amassed over 730 NHL games, making stops in Vancouver, Montreal and his current home in Calgary. Most recently, Tyler was named team Captain of Canada’s World Hockey Championship team, which successfully returned home with gold last month. Check out Tyler’s comments after learning he would be wearing the “C”.
