NHL Salary Cap

Each season, the NHLPA has the chance to use their “salary cap escalator” to increase the cap by 5%. Ahead of the upcoming season, the players conservatively increased the cap by only 0.5%, resulting in a cap approximately $1.5 million lower than projected.
