Nate Thompson, Los Angeles Kings
This month’s player spotlight is on Los Angeles Kings’ forward, Nate Thompson. At the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the Anchorage, Alaska native was selected 183rd overall by the Boston Bruins. Following successful campaigns with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Providence Bruins, Nate made his NHL debut with the Bruins in 2006. Now in his thirteenth professional season, Nate has appeared in over 600 NHL games and represented Team USA twice in World Championship competition. Most recently, Nate celebrated an important off-ice accomplishment, accepting his two-year sobriety medallion.
